So, really, where are my shoes...

Here's the thing, I'm not really an organized person (except at work), but that's not where the shoe problem comes in. I think the problem is that I don't really have a one track mind. In fact, WoodenRobot has been known to call me "8 track Katie". Here is an example from yesterday. I was busy organizing the 399 pictures (not an exaggeration) that I recently got developed so that I could put them into an album (or three). I needed to go upstairs to get said album. As I was walking upstairs my hair clip became loose. I went into the bathroom to brush my hair and fix my clip. When I was in the bathroom I noticed that the sink was quite dirty, so I cleaned the sink...and the toilet...and the mirror, and went back downstairs. Then I went back upstairs to get the photo album. So it may have taken me about 25 minutes to complete the original task but I looked good and my bathroom was spotless. So, about the shoes, sometimes I actually can't find them, or they're not the shoes I'm looking for (said in a robotic voice because someone is using Jedi mind tricks on me), but mostly it's a mantra that I repeat to myself as I'm getting ready to leave the house, just so that I'll actually remember what I'm doing.

On the other hand, I think I'm pretty good at multi-tasking ;)

you should actually be reading this...(not this)

So, the real reason I started a blog is because I thought that WoodenRobot should really be writing, he's always been a good writer, he can whip up a poem at a moments notice and he's witty and clever, and has lots of great ideas for stories, but he hasn't written much lately (15 years?), so I made myself a blog so I could show him how easy it is.  And lo and behold, he likes it (I think).  Anyways, I thought maybe writing a little bit would lead him to writing that children's story he keeps talking about.

So, read his blog...it's called "I'm an Oxymoron", there's a link at the bottom of my page

Hi, I'm new here

So...writing a random blog that no one will read...is it meaningful, pointless, a secret journal that strangers have a key to? I've never been much of a writer, except for letters, so I guess I'll just see how this goes. I will write about my knitting projects, my planting projects, the weird things my kids say and do, and whatever else pops into my mind. Let me know if you stop by.
